With the in-depth application of Building Information Modeling (BIM), BIM collaborative design has evolved into a distributed system with multiple stakeholders, permissions, versions, and terminals carrying sensitive component, structural, MEP, cost, and change information, yet centralized cloud platforms remain weak in secure large-model transmission, cross-organizational authorization, dynamic revocation, integrity verification, and high-concurrency access. This study proposes a cloud-edge data security and privacy protection mechanism on a four-layer architecture (BIM user, edge security, cloud collaboration, security service), decentralizing identity pre-verification, policy caching, key negotiation, model sharding, and integrity checks to edge nodes, while hybrid AES-256/attribute-based encryption protects fragments and keys, Merkle trees verify integrity, and dynamic revocation uses token expiration and key-version updates. Simulations show that for a 1000 MB model, latency drops about 28.6% versus CP-ABE and 36.8% versus Blockchain-BIM, throughput under 2000 concurrent requests improves about 41.3% over cloud-only access control, with superior tamper detection, privacy protection, revocation latency, load balancing, and scalability.
