We are delighted to announce the introduction of an online credit card payment method, providing authors with a convenient way to pay their Article Processing Charge (APC) after their manuscript has been typeset. Upon receipt of the payment link from Chinatrust Bank, you will find the manuscript number clearly specified in the transaction description for your reference. Furthermore, please take note that the Article Processing Charge (APC) will be billed in New Taiwan Dollars (TWD).

Authors are hereby informed that while there is no article submission charge during manuscript submission, a page charge is required for publishing accepted papers. This is essential to offset the increasing publication costs and enhance the quality of JASE.

For manuscripts submitted after Jan. 1st, 2024, the article processing charge is as follows:

  • The first 8 proof (typeset) pages, including figures and tables, incur a fee of 230 USD or 7000 NTD.
  • Subsequent pages after eight will be charged at 65 USD per page or 2000 NTD per page.

For manuscripts submitted before Jan. 1st, 2024, the article processing charge is:

  • The first 9 proof (typeset) pages, including figures and tables, are charged at 230 USD or 7000 NTD.
  • Subsequent pages after nine will be charged at 65 USD per page or 2000 NTD per page.

It is important to note that the printed version of the accepted manuscript will be published in black and white, while the PDF file will remain in color.

 

  • Due to the increasing number of submissions, JASE will be published monthly from Vol. 26, No. 1 (Jan. 2023) to shorten the waiting time for accepted manuscripts.

  • The average turnaround time for a submitted manuscript to have the first decision back is 30.80 days.

 

  •  Due to the increasing number of submissions, JASE will be published bimonthly from Vol. 24, No. 1 (Feb. 2020) to shorten the waiting time for accepted manuscripts.
  • The new journal website was up and running on July 1, 2020. The past issues will be uploaded to the new website gradually. Once we have all the past issues available on the new website, the old website will be closed.

 

  • JOURNAL OF APPLIED SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING (JASE) is included in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).

 

 

  • JOURNAL OF APPLIED SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING (JASE) is included in EI COMPENDEX PLUS and SCOPUS since 2002.

 

 

 

  • The title of "Tamkang Journal of Science and Engineering" has been changed to "Journal of Applied Science and Engineering" since 2012/01/01.
